ICT Proposers Day 2016

In view of the ICT Proposers’ Day 2016 being held in Bratislava on 26-27 September 2016, the European Commission will provide the travel (no accommodation) for 50 persons from the EU13 countries (except Slovakia) to attend and participate in the mentioned event.

One person from Malta will be invited to attend, with funding from the European Commission. Further information on the event may be viewed by following the link: https://ec.europa.eu/digital-single-market/en/ict-proposers-day-2016

Interested candidates are being asked to provide a detailed C.V. and organisation profile, together with a covering note explaining how they expect to benefit from participation and highlighting any other relevant points to address the criteria listed below.

Applications are to be sent via email tolara.boffa@gov.mt withgeorge.b.bugeja@gov.mt in copy by not later than 5:00PM on Monday 25th July 2016.

The candidate will be selected based on a ranking system with the following criteria:

1. Profile – Organisation profile and personal profile; potential to participate in Horizon 2020 projects; 

2. Expertise – Experience in the field of ICT, both academic and industrial; experience in FP7/H2020 or other related programmes; 

3. Effort to Participate – Participation in FP/H2020 for established organisations; efforts to participate for new organisations and young researchers/entrepreneurs.

The following rules will apply to the selected candidate: 

• Transport: train (first class) or airplane (economy) will be provided (no reimbursement for travel by car, bus or taxi); 

• The travel agency of the European Commission will contact each invited person to organise the travel; 

• The invited person does not have to book and pay their travel tickets on their own initiative, as in this case the expenses will not be reimbursed; 

• The invited person must contact the delegate of his country in case of cancellation or request for replacement; 

• Changes after the booking confirmation are not accepted.
