Full Time Administrator (Horizon Unit Administration Officer)

MCST requires the service of a full time Administrator (Horizon Unit Administration Officer) to form part of the Horizon Unit. The selected candidate will provide the Horizon team with administrative support and, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Unit through assisting in the dissemination and promotion of the Framework Programme through various means including social media as well as support and organise conferences, events and workshops.   The ideal candidate must be able to communicate in Maltese and English, both verbally and in writing and in possession of:

MQF Level 6 qualification or higher in Business Management and Administration, Marketing or an appropriate, relevant, comparable professional qualification from a recognised and accredited educational institution and one (1) year relevant work experience in an administration role, and preferably having experience in digital marketing.

Or

MQF Level 5 qualification in Business Management and Administration, Marketing or an appropriate, relevant, comparable professional qualification from a recognised and accredited educational institution and three (3) years’ relevant work experience in an administration role, and preferably having experience in digital marketing.

Executive (Covid-19 R & D Fund)

The Malta Council for Science and Technology requires the services of a full-time Executive (Covid-19 R&D Fund) to form part of the Research & Innovation (R&I) Unit. The successful candidate will take accountability for the promotion and implementation of existing and new R&I funding programmes, for which the Malta Council for Science and Technology is the managing authority. The role requires active engagement within various novel areas of research, across academia and industry. Whilst the role will initially focus on the implementation management of the new COVID-19 R&D Fund, it is expected that the successful candidate would also support and participate in other funding programme administration tasks covering various thematics, whilst promoting R&I across the local research community. The ideal candidate must be in possession of:

A Master’s qualification at MQF level 7 in Physical, Applied Sciences or Life Sciences, with a preference given to the latter, or a relevant comparable professional qualification from a recognised and accredited University together with a minimum of one (1) year relevant work experience.

OR

Bachelor’s qualification at MQF level 6 in Physical, Applied Sciences or Life Sciences, with a preference given to the latter, or a relevant comparable professional qualification from a recognised and accredited University together with a minimum of three (3) years’ relevant work experience.
