MCST requires the service of an Assistant (Events & Catering Operations) to form part of the Business Development Team. The selected candidate will be expected to manage the safe, effective and efficient running of events at Esplora and Villa Bighi with the objective to significantly enhance the visitors’ experience and increase audience diversity in liason with the Duty Managers and manage the day-to-day operations of the EsploraCafe. Together with running of events at Villa Bighi in close collaboration with the Business Development team.  

The ideal candidate must be able to communicate fluently in Maltese and English and be in possession of

  • A Level 4 qualification recognised by NCFHE, together with a minimum of 5 years’ work experience in a management role in the hospitality and/or catering industry

  • A Level 3 qualification recognised by NCFHE, together with a minimum of 10 years’ work experience in a management role in the hospitality and/or catering industry

Duties Executive (Policy Intelligence)

The Malta Council for Science and Technology requires the services of a full-time Director at the Esplora Interactive Science Centre.

Esplora is Malta’s first Interactive Science Centre within MCST’s remit seeking to nurture a culture of scientific curiosity and imagination by igniting a desire for questioning and investigation where visitors at Esplora are encouraged to explore, think and imagine.

The selected candidate is expected to provide outstanding leadership for Esplora and the Planetarium as a visitor attraction, offering high quality educational and public programmes and science communication events. Through a well-planned strategy the Director Esplora will maintain and improve Esplora’s running to a top science visitor centre in Europe.

The ideal candidate must be in possession of:

MQF Level 7 qualification or a relevant comparable professional qualification in Business Administration, Management or Education together with a minimum of four (4) years’ relevant work experience.

Or
