PRIMA – Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area

The Malta Council for Science and Technology (MCST) is currently involved in the preparations of the PRIMA Initiative – Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area (http://www.prima4med.org/), a possible new Euro-Mediterranean initiative which will finance R&I projects focusing on the following three areas:

• water management
• farming systems
• food value chains

At the current stage, the thematic priorities and objectives, as well as the required actions for the implementation of the PRIMA initiative are being decided. To this end, an online survey has been launched to allow relevant stakeholders and the potential beneficiaries of this future initiative to express their opinions. These include public authorities, research centers, NGOs, universities, business and others.
