The Malta Council for Science and Technology (MCST) is seeking to nominate suitable candidates to participate in the scientific evaluation of transnational research proposals under the MarTERA 2020 Call. Candidates must have expertise in at least one of the following areas (in the context of marine and maritime technologies):
- Emission reduction
- Energy efficiency
- Innovative propulsion and powering systems (e.g. fully electric ships)
- Novel materials
- Biofouling and corrosion prevention
- Structures
- New vessel design (incl. inland water vessels)
- Improved models for marine vehicles and structures’ behaviour
- Oil and gas
- Deep sea mining
- Technologies for detection and removal of munition
- Sensor development
- Underwater technology
- Human-machine interaction, Augmented and Virtual Reality
- Individual safety concepts harmonised with navigational requirements
- ICT tools for monitoring and optimisation of maritime operations (e.g. routing following best weather conditions)
- Early warning and accident management systems
- Decision support systems
- Improve operations
The details of the selected candidates will be forwarded to the MarTERA Call Office to participate in the evaluation process of the proposals submitted under the MarTERA 2020 Call. It is at the sole discretion of the MarTERA Call Office to assign proposals and provide the corresponding remuneration. More information can be found in this document.
