MarTERA 2020 Call for Evaluators

The Malta Council for Science and Technology (MCST) is seeking to nominate suitable candidates to participate in the scientific evaluation of transnational research proposals under the MarTERA 2020 Call. Candidates must have expertise in at least one of the following areas (in the context of marine and maritime technologies):

  1. Emission reduction
  2. Energy efficiency
  3. Innovative propulsion and powering systems (e.g. fully electric ships)
  4. Novel materials
  5. Biofouling and corrosion prevention
  6. Structures
  7. New vessel design (incl. inland water vessels)
  8. Improved models for marine vehicles and structures’ behaviour
  9. Oil and gas
  10. Deep sea mining
  11. Technologies for detection and removal of munition
  12. Sensor development
  13. Underwater technology
  14. Human-machine interaction, Augmented and Virtual Reality
  15. Individual safety concepts harmonised with navigational requirements
  16. ICT tools for monitoring and optimisation of maritime operations (e.g. routing following best weather conditions)
  17. Early warning and accident management systems
  18. Decision support systems
  19. Improve operations

The details of the selected candidates will be forwarded to the MarTERA Call Office to participate in the evaluation process of the proposals submitted under the MarTERA 2020 Call. It is at the sole discretion of the MarTERA Call Office to assign proposals and provide the corresponding remuneration. More information can be found in this document.
