Call for Participation in the Big Data from Space (BiDS) conference in Vienna 2023

MCST would like to invite universities and research centres from Malta to take active part in the upcoming Big Data from Space (BiDS) conference in Vienna from the 6th to the 9th of November 2023.

The BiDS conference is where practitioners, researchers, and users meet to present and discuss the most recent innovations and practical challenges encountered in the context of big data from space. This conference provides an excellent opportunity for JRC scientists to share their knowledge, network with other professionals, and learn about the latest developments in the field.

This edition of BiDS will focus on the technologies enabling insight and foresight inferable from big data and will emphasise how these technologies impact society. It intends to explore and learn how space data-driven insights and foresight can provide a sound basis for evidence-based decision-making to address global societal challenges such as climate change, sustainability, and civil security.

The call for conference papers and presentations has been launched, with the deadline on the 16th of June 2023. A panel of over 100 international organising committee members will examine submitted proposals. Ideas for tutorials, hackathons, and satellite events can also be submitted.

MCST would like to ask interested candidates to inform us whether they will be submitting any publications for this conference and whether their submission has been accepted. We would like to keep track of all applicants from Malta.
