Opportunity for an International Research Fellowship Award at the European Space Agency (ESA)

The Malta Council for Science and Technology (MCST) is pleased to announce a research opportunity at the European Space Agency (ESA) in projects related to:

 

Space science, in particular astronomy and astrophysics, solar system exploration and solar-terrestrial physics;

 

·         Earth observation research and application, in particular ESA Satellite tracking to 

          provide the meteorological basis and the reference system and frames,    

          environmental monitoring, meteorology,  aeronomy and geoinformatics and   

          disaster management;

·        Telecommunications, including service demonstrations as well as satellite navigation;

·        Microgravity research, in particular space biology and medicine, and materials processing;

·        Technology development, including software and hardware; and

·        Ground segment engineering and utilisation

 

This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to experience cutting edge research in a space and development organisation. The Fellowship will be funded for a duration of one year. This opportunity is open for candidates with a Master’s degree or PhD. All applications are to be signed, sealed and sent as per details below.

All applicants should be available for an interview by the selection committee in the two weeks following the call deadline. Both the subject area and the candidate are subject to final acceptance by ESA.
