INTERREG V-A Italy-Malta Programme – First Call for Proposals

As the national coordinating authority of the 2014-2020 Territorial Cooperation Programmes, including the INTERREG V-A Italy-Malta programme, the Funds and Programmes Division (FPD) within the Parliamentary Secretariat for the EU Presidency 2017 and EU Funds, the Ministry for European Affairs and Implementation of the Electoral Manifesto, would like to announce that the first call for project proposals under this Programme has been  launched on the 9th September 2016 and it shall remain open until 1400hrs of the 8th November 2016.

 

The Italy-Malta Programme is a cross-border Programme implemented between Sicily and Malta. It aims to  reinforce smart and sustainable growth at cross border level with particular focus on the specialization in R&I sectors, fostering competitiveness in small and medium-sized enterprises, protecting the environment and enhancing actions to mitigate the effects of climate change together with the natural and anthropic risks of the area.  This programme is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and has a total ERDF budget of € 43,952,171 million ERDF for the 2014-2020 period and covers the following thematic objectives:

-strengthening research, technological development and innovation

-enhancing the competitiveness of SMEs

-preserving and protecting the environment and promoting resource efficiency

This call for proposals has been issued across all axis of the programme (with the exception of a small number of specific objectives). The call has been issued with a budget of €32,404,019.90.

An information session in connection with this call is envisaged to be held in the coming weeks.  Further information in this regard shall be available on this website once the dates are agreed upon with the Managing Authority.
