ICT2015 Innovate, Connect, Transform

The European Commission will provide travel and hotel accommodation for 97 persons from the EU13 countries to attend and participate in the biggest ICT event on the EU calendar, ICT2015 that will take place in Lisbon on 20-22 October 2015. 3 persons from Malta will be invited to attend with funding from the European Commission. Potential candidates are being asked to provide a detailed CV and organisation profile, together with a covering note explaining how they expect to benefit from participation and highlighting any other relevant points to address the criteria listed below. These are to be sent by email to stephen.g.micallef@gov.mt not later than Monday 11 May 2015.

 

Candidates will be selected based on a ranking system with the following criteria:

  1. Profile – Organisation profile and personal profile; potential to participate in Horizon 2020 projects
  2. Expertise – Experience in the field of ICT, both academic and industrial; experience in FP7/H2020 or other related programmes
  3. Effort to Participate  – Participation in FP/H2020 for established organisations; efforts to participate for new organisations and young researchers/entrepreneurs

 

A maximum of 1 person per organisation will be eligible for invitation.

 

The following rules will apply to each of the 3 selected candidates:

  • Hotel: up to three nights will be paid by the Commission;
  • Transport: train (first class) or airplane (economy) will be provided (no reimbursement for travel by car, bus or taxi);
  • The travel agency of the European Commission will contact each invited person to organise the travel and hotel accommodation;
  • The invited persons do not have to book and pay their travel tickets on their own initiative, as in this case the expenses will not be reimbursed;
  • The invited person must contact the delegate of his country in case of cancellation or request for replacement;
  • Changes after the booking are not accepted.
