The new European Parliament – How will it affect your business?

European Elections: Debating the real European issues

The Malta Business Bureau has the pleasure to invite you to attend a debate on the European Elections which is being held on the 13th May at the Hotel Phoenicia.

The MBB feels that a lot of importance is being given to local political issues and issues that will actually be tackled at the European Parliament during the next five years are not being given enough importance.  It is thus opportune for the MBB to organize an event to discuss and inform about such issues.

MEP candidates Marlene Mizzi, Helga Ellul and Carmel Cacopardo will be representing the three main political parties to take centre stage and debate the main issues that the European political parties are proposing for the new European Parliament Legislature. This will take place through a panel debate, moderated by Times Business editor Vanessa Macdonald, that will focus on the respective manifestos of the European People’s Party (EPP), Party of European Socialists (PES) and the European Greens.

The discussion will revolve around issues that MEPs may face during the next five years, as stipulated by the electoral manifestos of the European political parties. Subjects that will be discussed during the debate include economical, financial, competitiveness, and climate related issues.
